The mission of this organization is to use the game of ice hockey to develop sportsmanship, teamwork, and skills for
high school students.

Fundraising
In 2009 Washington-Lee Ice Hockey participated in the Optimist Tree
sales event on December 6th from 8-9pm and on December 7th from 8-9pm. Thanks to those who helped with around 50 tree
sales! The Arlington Optimists have donated funds to this and other youth hockey teams in the county. This is a way
to say thank you.

Washington-Lee has joined T.C. Williams again this season to form a JV Provisional
Team. T.C. Williams has successfully had a boys' team for 10 years and a girls' non-checking team for 8 years.
Why seek donations? Someone has to pay for league
fees, uniforms, ice time, and other expenses. Most of this is on the parents, but with donations it would be possible
to reduce fees and get more players involved in ice hockey who otherwise may be not be able to play due to cost.
The fee for the 2009-10 season is $650. Above the fee additional fundraising may
be necessary to cover the budget necessary for the season.
